The slope

Here's a view that gives you an idea of the slope of the building site. The higher part of the floor joists from the ground locates the front of the sauna. This is almost twice as high as the rear of the building. No problem, only this will put the front deck higher off the ground.

Later you will see that this actually adds architectural interest to the sauna when you walk up the path.

The flat rock in the foreground will be used to anchor the front deck stairs.
