Building the gable ends

Building the gables, finally we get to work with logs! The first log was set in place, marked, lifted off the deck, cut and then returned to the gable. The second log was lifted on next, marked, removed, cut and put back and on and on until we got to the top. All of the cut-offs were then used to make the back gable. When both ends were complete we took it all apart and set it aside.
