The building site

This is a view looking from the house towards the building site. View is almost due East. The sauna will be built in the upper right hand corner of the picture facing the viewer- almost due West. This is traditional in sauna construction. At the end of a long day the setting sun shines into the sauna door and adds to the relaxing setting.

It actually took us three weekends to decide on the final location. We place 2 x 4s on the ground to outline the footprint of the new sauna and watched where the sun was. After awhile it became clear where the sauna wanted to be.
